The Old Schoolmasterโ€™s House at Edenvale, Pinjarra, has been home to the Murray Districts Historical Society since early 2012. This four roomed teacherโ€™s cottage, which faces St. Johnโ€™s Church and the Heritage Rose Garden, was built in 1896 at the same time as the nearby Old Schoolhouse.

The Murray District Historical Society is a not for profit organisation served by hard working volunteers who collect, record, preserve, promote and share the local history of the area. Where better a place for the Society to call home than the Old Schoolmasterโ€™s House. The Old Schoolmasterโ€™s House has been home to the Society since 2012 and is a four roomed teacherโ€™s cottage built in 1896 and faces the St Johnโ€™s Church and Heritage Rose Garden. The Societyโ€™s collection is constantly growing showcasing Pinjarraโ€™s social, commercial and agricultural past as well as the Edenvale Heritage Precinctโ€™s story โ€“ if you are visiting on a weekend, drop in where these passionate volunteers will be more than happy to share some of our local history with you!
