Patchwork & Quilters Society
Intricate and Colourful Designs
The Pinjarra Patchwork and Quilters Collective use the Old School House as its clubhouse which was built in 1896 and served as a school until the early 1920’s and then subsequently used as a Court House, Road Traffic Office and Parish Hall. Now a creative space for keen quilters and patchworkers, the clubhouse hosts regular workshops and intricate quilts and other handmade products such as clothing and bags are available for purchase.
Stumble upon the Pinarra Art Hub’s outlet store which showcases a curated and featured collection of artisan maker and locally made products across a variety of mediums including painting, glasswork, jewellery, lead lighting, leatherwork, pottery, textiles, wood work and yarns. This ever changing space is open daily and is the perfect place to grab a creative souvenir or gift! All items on display are hand created by the hub's members and most are available for purchase unless labeled otherwise. A constant addition of newly created work has regular visitors searching for that exciting new product. Operating out of an Old Barn, the Pinjarra Art Hub hosts a range of creative workshops and training classes to inspire and develop creative industries and to connect our local makers and doers in the community. Classes range from absolute beginners to those already a little more advanced.
"Loved the whole place. Old Church with settlers cemetary, old buildings, great local craft on sale, lovely coffee shop, beautiful quilt making, the museum, "real" roses and the river nearby. An enjoyable couple of hours."
