Meet Me Riverside

The recent redevelopment of the Murray River Square and river foreshore has made it the perfect place to catch up with friends, picnic, work or exercise outdoors, enjoy one of the town’s regular music events or just relax and enjoy the serenity of the beautiful Murray River. With loads of shaded areas, outdoor spaces, a small amphitheatre, cycle / walking paths, public art and a soon to be completed jetty, it’s a magic spot to dip your toes in the river, meet our local bird and marine life or launch a kayak for a paddle up river into the historic farmland areas that surround Pinjarra.

Hot to Trot

Pinjarra is fast becoming the epi-centre of WA’s equine industry and a destination for pacing and racing enthusiasts and punters.  Popular with local and metropolitan trainers, Pinjarra Park is the only 1,000 m grass straight in WA and on race day, with the sound of flying hooves and the bright jockey colours against the stunning Darling Scarp, the Club is a must do experience if you love the thrill of a unique racing experience. Pinjarra Paceway is WA’s best and largest country harness racing venue, with weekly meets that can be viewed track side or from the Paceway Pavilion restaurant and bar.  Kids entertainment on major race days and school holidays make it a family friendly day out.  eat day out if you want to keep the kids busy

Family Comes First

Cantwell Park in Pinjarra and Adventurescape in South Yunderup are fast becoming the Region’s most popular playgrounds for families within the Region and for those in the metro area who love to take the kids on a road trip and picnic as part of an adventure filled day out.  Both playgrounds are within walking distance of shops and café’s for those last minute drinks, fresh fruit, takeaway coffee.  Cantwell Park is right in the heart of Pinjarra on the banks of the Murray River and caters for toddlers through to teens.  Adventurescape also caters for all ages and has become an iconic adventure play destination due to its iconic farm themed play experiences, including a 9 m tall climbing windmill, tower and slide and a giant pig cubby.
